Come and join herbalist Elaine Sheff from Meadowsweet Herbs for this unique children's event happening Thursday May 23 at 11am at the Children’s Museum Missoula. Elaine will show us some of the edible plants that grow right in our own neighborhoods. In class, you might even get a chance to eat some weeds!

Join Charlotte Creekmore Rauthe and Terry Miller from Nurture Lactation to learn more about the benefits of breastfeeding. They will cover topics including latch, position, laid-back nursing, nutrition, pumps and transition back to work or school. This is a great class for pregnant moms, or anyone wanting to learn more about breastfeeding. To cater to the new mother, they will also be offering free lactation consultation services from 4:15-5pm.

29Natural Ideas for Calming or Energizing You and Your Child

Join Karen Coghlan Oberg, owner of O Therapy Services occupational and yoga therapist, and yoga teacher to explore some natural ideas for calming or energizing you and your child. Whether your child is extremely active or has trouble getting themselves moving, Karen will talk about some simple strategies to help your child balance their energy levels, as well as some natural tools such as massage, aromatherapy and yoga for kids.

Erika will discuss the disadvantages to providing your children with plastic toys, and advantages to providing healthy alternatives like wood, wool, cotton and silk. Come learn about healthy play!
