Do you ever wonder if you could do more to fight off the winter ick? Or what else you can do to fight it once it gets you? It happens to the best of us, so here are some of our favorite, tried and true herbal protocols for getting well and staying well.
Ginger-Garlic Lemonade
Herbalists' love this one! Consumed at the onset of a cold, while taking a very hot bath, this remedy helps to elevate the body's core temperature, supporting the process of diaphoresis (or sweating) and helping to stimulate white blood cell activity. After a hot bath, wrap-up in warm and cozy clothing, get into bed and rest. You'll feel hot and sweaty for a while, but much better in the morning!
