Truly Natural Body Care

Did you know that the skin is the largest digestive and eliminatory organ of the body? That means many products that you put on your skin are absorbed directly into your body. Some body care products claiming to be "natural" actually contain harsh chemicals such as sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens and synthetic fragrances. At Meadowsweet Herbs we research each product we make or carry to make sure it is pure. You can trust that everything that you put on your skin from Meadowsweet is truly good for you!

Tips for the Garden

Growing herbs from seeds present some unique challenges. Here are a few tips to make your germination rates more successful:

Cellophane:
After planting your seeds indoors, water well and cover your trays with cellophane. Once your seeds sprout, take the cellophane off. This can often halve the time it takes your seeds to sprout.

Heat:
If the seeds like it warmer (for example they are supposed to be planted after the last frost), you can give them a little extra warmth when you sprout them. Try using a heat mat or heating pad under the seed tray. Just set it on low.

Good combinations:
Echinacea and Lavender make a striking combination when planted together.

Ladybugs LOVE Fennel and Dill, so plant them in areas where you want natural bug deterrents.
