Seborrheic dermatitis is a common, inflammatory, itchy skin condition that causes flaky, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas such as the scalp or inside the ear. Here are some great natural tips to end the flakes! A dandruff home remedy needs to be used for a prolonged period to ensure that the condition is successfully treated. Use these suggestions for a minimum of 2 weeks to see lasting results.

- Do not expose the scalp to extreme temperatures such as blow dryers, showers that are too hot or curling irons close to the scalp.
- Make sure you are having a daily bowel movement. Bowel health has a direct effect on skin health.
- Take two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds and soak them overnight in water. Strain and grind them into a fine paste in the morning. This paste should be applied all over the scalp and left for half an hour. Us this treatment twice a week for the first two weeks and then once a week for another two weeks.
